Noillirk Questions: How the Daily Set Is Chosen

Every day, every Noillirk player on earth gets the same seven questions. This page explains where those questions come from — and lists this week's sets so you can watch the machine work.

One bank, one seed, seven questions

Noillirk's question bank holds 302 prompts across eight categories — geography, movies, sports, food, science, animals, history and music. Every prompt was written to have a crowd shape: a first answer almost everyone gives, a clever answer the confident ones give, and a long tail of rarer answers stretching down to a single designated gem. A prompt without that shape — one where all answers are equally obscure, or equally obvious — never makes the bank, because it can't be scored by rarity.

Each midnight UTC, the day's date seeds a deterministic draw of seven prompts from the bank. Deterministic matters: it means the set is the same for every player, reproducible forever after, and that the answers page for any date can show exactly the questions that were served that day — no trust required, the archive and the game run the same math.

What makes a good Noillirk question?

  • Instant accessibility. Anyone can answer "Name a type of pasta" in two seconds. The game begins at recognition, not at expertise.
  • A reliable crowd. The first answer must be predictable — spaghetti — so that Plankton means something and rarity can be measured against it.
  • A deep tail. Bucatini, cascatelli, strozzapreti: the prompt must keep rewarding knowledge long after the crowd has gone home.
  • A fair gem. The One in a Noillirk answer must be genuinely findable by a knowledgeable player — obscure, never arbitrary.

Questions fail the bank for the opposite reasons: a gem nobody could fairly know, a crowd answer that splits ten ways, or a tail that ends at Schooler. The bank is edited like a menu, not scraped like a database — which is why 302 good questions beat 3,000 raw ones.

The daily sets draw from all eight categories over time, but a single day is a shuffle, not a syllabus — some days lean geographical, some dive into the kitchen. If a category keeps ambushing you, that's the packs' cue: train it directly until it stops being an ambush.

Seven questions are waiting today.

One dive per day, seven prompts, 25 seconds each. The rarer your answer, the deeper you sink — 700 points is a perfect dive.
